A panel discussion and debate featuring contenders from the fields of biopsychology, opinion research and psychoanalysis:

J. Michael Bailey // Stuart Michaels // Erika Schmidt

  • Professor of Psychology at Northwestern University, J. Michael Bailey is the author of The Man Who Would Be Queen: The Science of Gender-Bending and Transsexualism (2003).
  • Senior Research Scientist at the National Opinion Research Center, Stuart Michaels is an author of The Social Organization of Sexuality: Sexual Practices in the United States (1994).
  • Director of the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, Erika Schmidt has provided psychotherapy to adults and children since 1984 and is a published author in several peer-reviewed publications.
